$50The following information should answer most questions about this event:
BEFORE ENTERING THIS EVENT PLEASE NOTE THE USTA POLICY ON WITHDRAWALS AND NO-SHOWS: This is a USTA sanctioned event for ranking points and subject to USTA regulations. If a player withdraws after draws have been published for a reason other than documented illness or injury, that player is subject to the assessment of four (4) suspension points. An accumulation of 10 suspension points in a rolling year, for a variety of regulation violations could result in the player’s suspension from USTA play for 3 months (first suspension.) If a player does not show for their match (fails to notify tournament in advance) that player is subject to five (5) suspension points per violation. The reason for this regulation is that late withdrawals negatively impact the draw and the players in that draw and withdrawals should be made only in unavoidable circumstances.
USTA Refund Policy: There are no refunds after entries close and selections are made.
Players must be prepared to play at any time during the time of the sanction period which, in this tournament, is any time during the days of August 23 and 24th. Persons who are unsportsmanlike may be asked by any member of the Tournament Committee or any official representative of the tournament to desist and/or to leave the tournament site, and must comply.
This means the player can be point penalized for spectator sportsmanship misconduct and subject to suspension points. Spectators should refrain from interfering in matches for any reason and should not address or make comments to their player’s opponent. Coaching is prohibited in USTA sanctioned play unless a specific team event. Spectators may also be removed from the facility by a member of the Tournament Committee.
