Flagstaff, AZ – October 26th-27th, 2024 – Northern Arizona Tennis and the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Tennis Complex recently hosted a thrilling Tri-Level Adult League Tournament in partnership with USTA Southwest. The event, which featured over 40 players aged 18 and up, was a resounding success, filled with exciting matches, camaraderie, and lasting memories.
The tournament showcased a wide range of tennis talent, with players competing in various skill levels across different age groups. The Tri-Level format ensured that participants were matched with opponents of similar abilities, creating a competitive yet enjoyable atmosphere for all involved.
“We were delighted to host this fantastic event at the NAU Tennis Complex,” said Sterling Fetty, United States Tennis Association NAZ league coordinator. “The energy and enthusiasm of the players were infectious, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the sport of tennis.
“The tournament was not just about competition; it was also about fostering a sense of community among tennis enthusiasts. Players had the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow athletes, sharing their passion for the sport.
“It was a great experience,” said AJ Mraz, a tournament participant. “The organization was top-notch, the competition was challenging, and I made some new friends along the way.”
Winning women’s and men’s teams were captained by Laura Nicol of Flagstaff, AZ and Andy Mraz of Prescott Valley, AZ. Good luck to both teams as they advance on to sectionals in January!
