The 4th (OAG) Oxendale Auto Group tennis Championships presented by (NARF) Northern Arizona Rehabilitation and Fitness were played at Mingus Union High School October 6-8. Events were held in (USTA) United States Tennis Association sanctioned age division adult and (NTRP) National Tennis Rating categories with all net proceeds benefiting the growth of tennis programming in northern Arizona.
The OAG championships featured eight individual events ranging from men’s and women’s open division to men’s 60 and over division doubles.
“All of our players had plenty of matches over the weekend and in spite of some Sunday afternoon rain finished every event”said tournament director, Jake Worseldine.
OAG president, Matt Oxendale, said “The Oxendale Auto Group is delighted to help bring more tennis activities to northern Arizona, and have the proceeds help develop more tennis in this region”.
“Tennis is a sport for a lifetime and we at Northern Arizona Rehabilitation and Fitness believe in supporting activities that promote long term health and this event certainly does that” said NARF president, Tarrin Walz.
Additional corporate sponsors of the OAG Tennis Championships are The Vault Restaurant and Elizabeth McFarland, Attorney at Law.
