SUMMARY:Level 5 Open: NAU Flagstaff Junior Open
DESCRIPTION:Register Here! \nJoin us in Flagstaff get out the summer heat with a chance to play at the NAU indoor courts! \nThe event will be using all NAU 12 court facility. 6 indoor and 6 outdoor.  Players will play on whichever court becomes available indoor or outdoor.  \nPLEASE make sure to check in at the tournament desk for your scheduled match time ATLEAST 15 minutes prior thank you! \nThe weather in Flagstaff should be around mid 80’s so make sure to stay hydrated\, bring coolers\, extra water\, electrolytes\, ice etc.  It is monsoon season so chance of clouds in the afternoon to cool things off can be expected. \nDraw Format: Singles best of 3 regular tie break sets to 6 with a 10 point tie break played in lieu of a full third. \nIf inclement weather is forecast\, No ad scoring will be enforced.  feed in through Round of 16. \n16 players selected per event. \nSelection: Players will be selected using the most recent National Standings List (NSL) as of the event deadline. \nSeeding: Players will be seeded straight by WTN using high confidence ratings only. \nAge Divisions and Sites: All matches will be played at the NAU indoor and outdoor courts on campus. \nFor L3-5 events \n  \n  \nDraws will  be posted by July 8th 2026.  If a player withdraws\, they will be replaced by an alternate if available or opponent will be advanced.  We will no longer reseed the draws if a seeded player withdraws after draws are published. \nWe will be using high altitude tennis balls since Flagstaff is 7800 ft above sea level.

DESCRIPTION:Register Here! \nPlease review the following information about this event: \nPlayers will play at Thorpe Park located at 191 N Thorpe Rd. Flagstaff;  Little Thorpe Park across from soccer fields on N Thorpe Road Flagstaff; OR Hal Jensen Recreation Center at 2403 N Izabel St Flagstaff. \nCOMMUNICATION –Please email/text Tournament Director below with  any questions. REMINDERS    •    Check Website for updated information.    •    Always check the website before leaving your residence to stay updated on any weather related delays.MATCH ETIQUETTES    1.    Arrive 15 minutes before your match. Consider traffic and the possibility of getting lost if this is your first time at this location.     2.    Check-In for your match at the tournament desk once you are ON-SITE and ready to take the court. Players must check in and stay close to the tournament desk to be able to hear your name called.     3.    If you are 99% sure a ball is out\, then the ball is IN. Demonstrate integrity and character when calling lines. A ball is only out if you are 100% certain of it. If you have any doubt\, continue to play the point.    4.    The Server says the score loudly before EVERY point. If you disagree with a stated score\, do not play the point\, amicably discuss the correct score before proceeding with play.     5.    Parents cannot speak\, provide hand signals\, or communicate with players for any reason while they are on court competing. This is a USTA rule violation.Format:This is a one day event and is non elimination. This events earns Level 7 ranking points. Each draw will be a compass draw or round robin (depending on number of entries). Players will play one set\, no ad\, 7 point tie breaker at 6-6.  \nTOURNAMENT LEVEL: Level 7. This tournament is for players who have some tournament/match play experience. The tournament is a compass draw or round robin\, which means that every player will play 2-4 matches\, whether they win or lose their matches.  Players who are unable to commit to playing all day Saturday should not enter\, since the draws require that all players remain in the draw. We will make every attempt to give players at least 2 matches\, but we cannot guarantee this\, since players may withdraw. \nMATCH TIMES:   Divisions will play in “blocks” meaning a division that starts at 8:00 will play subsequent matches one after the other until all matches are completed.  NOT ALL DIVISIONS WILL START AT THE SAME TIME. The next group of divisions will play in the next blocked period throughout the day.  Therefore\, some divisions will start their block later in the day. Players are responsible for checking the tournament website for their draw\, match time and schedule.  The tournament will not email players their match times. Draws can be found on the tournament website under the “draws” tab.  Find your gender/age division (event) and look to see if there are multiple groups in the drop down for your event.  You will need to look for your name and the match time prior to the start of the tournament. There could be 2\, 3 or more draws in each division depending on entries.   \nEVENTS and Scoring Format: B/G 12U-18U Yellow ball. Scoring format is dependent on the number of matches per player. Players will be selected after the entry deadline has passed. Players will receive an email confirming that they have been selected. Draws will be posted no later than Wednesday the week of the event.  \nAdditional Information: All players are guaranteed at least 2 matches (barring withdrawals of players in that draw) and should be prepared to play up to 4. Due to the format players are expected to stay until the tournament is completed. Players will not leave if they have lost a match\, since they will continue to play win or lose.  If circumstances necessitate a withdrawal\, please notify the tournament director immediately. \n\nIf your draw format is a “compass draw” you will play multiple and move to parts of the draw based on whether you won or lost.  All players continue around the compass for multiple matches.  See an explanation of the compass draw here: \n\n  \nUSTA Refund Policy:  There are no refunds after entries close and selections are made.  \nSCHEDULING: Pursuant to USTA regulations\, players must be available at any time during the day(s) of the tournament to play their matches.  The first block of matches could go on at 8:00 a.m. but not all draws can play at this time.  Players should be ready to play their first round as late as 5:00 p.m. on the day of the event.  Any schedule issues must be brought to the tournament director’s attention before entries close.  Once draws are posted\, match times will not change unless there is a withdrawal in that division.  Match times will not be changed for personal conflicts.  Additionally\, due to the varying nature of the number of matches in each divisions\, we cannot schedule divisions before entries close.  \nPLAYER SELECTION: Players sign up by age and will be selected for the tournament in reverse order of their National Standing (NSL).  Groups are ordered by WTN (World Tennis Number) \nSITES/PRACTICE COURTS:  Matches will be played at either Thorpe Park located at 191 N Thorpe Rd Flagstaff\, AZ 86001 OR Hal Jensen Recreation Center located at 2403 N Izabel St. Flagstaff 86004. Practice courts may not be available on site except for the first block of matches.

SUMMARY:USTA Junior Circuit: Jr. Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Register Here! \n\nTHIS EVENT IS ON SUNDAY\,  JUNE 14  at Ron Hren/Hal Jensen Courts from 9:00-12:00 pm\nThis Junior Event will be for players 8U-12U! Team challenge is an introduction to tennis competition offering a low-pressure team environment for children of all ages to develop their skills through level-based play\, without an emphasis on instruction or results. Participants are expected to at least drop hit serve from the service line over the net and sustain a modified rally. \nThis event is orange ball and green ball.  Players must be 9 years old or have cleared the orange ball Play Tracker to play green.  If players are 7-9 years old and have not completed the orange ball Play Tracker\, they play orange.  Players who have cleared the orange ball Play Tracker or who are 9 or older\, who\, for developmental purposes\, want to play orange\, may continue to do so.   \nThe competition is meant for players to feel free to apply skills without fear of losing or focus on outcome. As such\, the USTA will not be awarding medals for any finishers.
